Recommendations for Experiencing the Full Benefits of Breathwork
Our bodies hold an incredible, innate wisdom — and your breath will always take you exactly where you need to go. In Breathwork, you and your breath are the true healers. My role as a facilitator is to gently guide you and hold space with compassion as your journey unfolds.
While every session is unique, there are a few simple ways you can deepen your experience and open yourself up to the full potential of the practice.

Here are my top 4 recommendations to help you receive the most from your Breathwork session:
Let go of expectations
We’ll start your session by setting an intention, but try not to hold onto expectations about what you think should happen. Every session is different, and your breath will guide you to what needs attention. Simply show up, breathe, and trust in the process. Surrendering opens the door to deep healing.
Keep the exhale soft and natural
There’s no need to push the breath out. Let your exhalation be passive — a gentle release — as if you’re sighing. Forcing the exhale can be a subtle way of trying to control the experience or avoid emotions that are surfacing. Instead, soften, and allow whatever is arising to be there.
Find your natural rhythm
There’s no perfect pace — just trust your body. Breathing too fast or too slow can be a way of resisting or managing what’s coming up. Let your breath find its own flow. Stay present, breathe steadily, and be kind to yourself throughout.
Allow yourself to feel
Emotions may arise — that’s a good thing. Lean in. Let go of judgment or analysis. Emotions are simply energy in motion, and they need to be felt before they can be released. As we often say: you have to feel it to heal it.
Know that in your session, you are fully seen and supported. When you open yourself up to the breath, the magic unfolds naturally.
This
work is cumulative — with each session, your body learns to release more easily and your heart opens a little more.

I hope these insights support you in preparing for your next Breathwork journey. If you’re feeling called to go deeper, I offer a range of Breathwork experiences — including Individual Sessions, Couples Breathwork, and Weekly Group Breathwork Circles. Each session is a safe, supportive space to release what no longer serves you and reconnect with the truth of who you are.
Whether you're just beginning or returning to the breath, I’d be honoured to guide you as you come home to your heart. 💜
